Oxford is a big, huge, ginormous array of castles. It seriously has a palace around every corner! It’s simply incredible. Every time I set out to find something new, I stumble upon the most beautiful things! Hope you enjoy these photos of my wanderings :)

Spent the afternoon exploring the Sheldonian Theatre! One of the most beautiful, magical places on campus. Set out just after rainfall and glad I did! The colors reflecting off the rain (exemplified in the last photo), really made for some amazing sights.
The Sheldonian Theatre is, well, a theatre. While I was there there were people filtering into the building, then they closed the doors for a private operatic performance. They left all the windows open though, so the sound was streaming out into the surrounding courtyards. It was awesome :)
Class fieldtrip to Turf Tavern (yes, that happened). As one of the oldest bars in the University (it still has some of the wall that separated Oxford from the rest of the county), it has a very interesting history involving some very prominent members of society and their intoxication. For instance, Bill Clinton.
Getting to Turf Tavern we passed the Radcliffe Camera and a number of beautiful colleges and buildings. The architecture here is simply amazing, there doesn’t seem like there could be anywhere more beautiful.
So our college is amazing! Finally seeing it in the light of day was awesome :) Aside from being REALLY old (and I mean REALLY old), it’s a fantastic example of classic architecture at Oxford. We seriously lucked out with our program…
Moved into the dorm here at Oxford! We’re staying at Worcester College & it’s absolutely lovely. First day was a bit overwhelming with the jetlag/travel. Landed at 7am, took on customs, bussed to Oxford & are now all moved in! We’re staying in a townhouse-style dorm, which is definitely preferable as it gives me a chance to integrate into the city a bit more :)
Can’t wait to explore some more!
